Painting Schedule:  In response to an email, I am adding this post.  We are in summer hours for painting.  That is 9am-noon.  We can have lunch and go over our paintings if enough people are interested.  Summer hours will last until after daylight savings time is over for the year.

Painters:  I have tried to put together a schedule that would take us to cooler, shadier spots for August and September.   Many spots have water that can be painted or at least cool off the area.

In October, I am planning to focus on the fall leaves and vineyards.

August 4

Truett-Hurst Winery

Nice gardens, vineyards, and water.

From Santa Rosa and south:

101 north to Healdsburg

Take Dry Creek Road Exit #505

Turn Left onto Dry Creek Road continue for 5.5 miles

August 11

Healdsburg Veterans Memorial Beach

13839 Old Redwood Highway, Healdsburg. There is shade

and restrooms, views of bridges and river or park and

buildings. Opportunity for figurative work.

$6 parking fee. Critique in the park.

From Santa Rosa and south:

101 north to Healdsburg 13 miles

Merge onto Healdsburg Ave via ramp on left, exit #502

Schoolhouse Beach

At Carmet on Hwy 1, 8 to 9 miles north of Hwy 12

9am-12:30pm, Group Viewing at Parking Lot at Noon.

A varied, rocky sweep of a curve with beautiful views in every direction, and an accessible bathroom. Plenty of room to spread out here, or paint from the parking lot.

Directions: From 101, take CA-Hwy 12 W through Sebastopol and Bodega. Turn right and go north on Shoreline CA 1 for 8 miles.

August 25

Lake Ralphine/Howarth Park

650 Summerfield Rd., Santa Rosa. Shady trees, picnic tables, lake with boats and waterfowl. Park near the boathouse.  Critique near the picnic tables by the lake,

Directions: From 101, Exit CA-12E towards Sonoma.  At light, continue onto Hoen Frontage Road and then straight onto Hoen Avenue.  Turn left onto Summerfield Road and Park will be on your right.

September 8

Madrona Manor

1001 Westside Rd Healdsburg

9-12:30 pm, Group Viewing TBD at Noon

Exit Hwy 101 at Central Healdsburg. At the second traffic light turn 90 degrees left onto Mill Street/Westside Road. Travel 0.7 miles on Westside Road to our entrance at the intersection of Westside Road and West Dry Creek Road.

Wohler Bridge Fishing Access

9765 Wohler Road, Forestville. Take River Road to Wohler

Road, drive over Wohler Bridge into parking lot where Westside

Road and Wohler Road intersect. View of river, bridge, redwood

grove, and plenty of surrounding vineyards. $5 parking

fee. Critique in parking lot.

Porto Bodega

Directions from Santa Rosa: Take rte 12 through the town of Sebastopol, and continue straight to stay on Bodega Highway. At rte 1 turn right and go north on Shoreline drive Go past all the eateries of Bodega Bay, and turn left onto Eastside Rd. At the stop sign go straight.

Beautiful views across the bay, old shacks, boats, hills in the distance, bay views.

Viansa Winery

Take 116 exit in Petaluma toward Sonoma/Napa

Continue onto CA-116 E  4.9 mi

Continue onto CA-121 S 1.7 mi
