I had every intention of getting this done before school started, but that didn't happen due to technical difficulties with a website I was working on. Consequently this is going to be a fly by the seat of my pants, because 9 units of graduate school is a lot. Unless someone wants to help me, I am doing the best I can by myself.
I got a nice painting out of Taylor Mountain park a few weeks ago, but couldn't make the others due to everything I have going on. Sorry to have missed that.
I will adjust February as I have things identified.
February 2
Tomales, CA
Cute town in Marin County. We have been there before, but it has been a while and I want to get some of these towns in while the grass is green. Given our lack of rain yet again summer won't look so good in some of these spots. Monday should be sunny so it should be good painting.

February 9
Jack London State Historic Park
This is a nice local park. There is a group going this today Jan 30, but if anyone is a part of that group there should be plenty to paint there to go again (or maybe finish a painting).
How to get there: From Santa Rosa, take Highway 12. Turn right on Arnold drive; in the center of Glen Ellen turn right on London Ranch Road. From Sonoma, take Highway 12. Turn left on Madrone Road, right on Arnold drive, left on London Ranch Road.
- There are no campsites in this park; there is camping at near-by Sugarloaf Ridge State Park.
- Picnic tables and barbecue pits are available; ground fires and portable stoves are prohibited.
- Park hours are 9:30 AM to 5 PM. The museum in the House of Happy Walls is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Days. The cottage is open to the public from noon to 4 p.m. on week-end days.
They warn about rattlesnakes and poison oak, but this is the wrong time of year for those hazards.
- There is ample parking in the park.

Kozlowski Farm
5566 Gravenstein Highway N (Hwy 116)
Forestville, CA 95436
Located between Graton and Forestville, watch for the signs on the west side of Hwy. Charming farmhouse, outbuildings, valley views. Don’t park in front of the store. They ask that we park in the old parking lot to stay away from the trucks coming and going. Bathrooms available. Critique at 3:30.

February 23
Lawnsdale Road
Kenwood, CA (HWY 12)
1:00-4:00 critique at 3:30
The Walnut Orchard has a lot of mustard fields with it and a charming house. The other side of the street has a vineyard and water tower building. Across Hwy 12 are mountains.
No bathrooms though.
Summer Hours Begin
March 2
Goat Rock
9pm-1230pm, critique at 12:30pm
The walruses are suppose to be sunning themselves and mating this time of year. Hopefully they'll be hanging around where they usually lay. Can't get too close to them.
Low and high views of coast with waves, rocks, cliffs. From
town of Bodega Bay go about 8 miles north on Hwy. 1 and turn left at the Goat
Rock sign. If the access road is open all the way to the beach at the bottom,
take the left fork and park in the beach parking lot at the very end of the
road on the left. Critique will be there in lower parking lot at 12:30. If
lower beach parking lot is closed, critique will be in the large middle parking
lot.
