Directions: From Santa Rosa Ave. Turn left onto Petaluma Hill Rd and go 7.9 mi. Turn left onto Roberts Rd/Roberts Ranch Rd. Then go 1.3 mi and Continue onto Pressley Rd
This 128 acre park features rolling grassland meadows and a seasonal creek in the Sonoma Valley foothills, east of Sonoma State University. The park's open space is bordered by stands of California Buckeye, White Alder, Black Oak and Maple. The park offers outstanding vistas of Rohnert Park and Santa Rosa.

Views of the river, mill, yacht club, boats.
From Hwy 101, take East Washington exist west and turn left on Petaluma Blvd.  Turn on B Street and drive to the end, turning right into the Great Petaluma Mill parking lot.  Critique along Weller Street.

Luther Burbank Home & Botanical Gardens

Directions: From 101, exit 489 towards Downtown Santa Rosa and merge onto Davis Street.  Turn left onto 3rd Street and take the 3rd right onto Santa Rosa Avenue.  Luther Burbank Home and Gardens will be on the left.
Donations suggested $5-10
Registered National, State and City Historic Landmark of world-renowned horticulturist Luther Burbank.  Victorian Greenhouses, hundreds of ornamental flowers, medicinal gardens, cactus gardens, wildlife habitats.  The friend and colleague of Thomas Edison and Henry Ford created more than 800 new kinds of edible plants as well as a phenomenal collection of specialty gardens in downtown Santa Rosa before he died in 1926.  The Gardens and Home are historically accurate.

Taylor Mountain Park & Open Space Preserve

Sweeping views of the Santa Rosa Plain, rolling hills and walking paths. 
Directions: From Santa Rosa / Farmer’s Lane, turn right onto Sonoma Ave.  Then turn left onto Santa Rosa Ave.  Then turn left onto Petaluma Hill Rd.  Make a quick left then onto Kawana Springs Road.  Make the 1st right onto Franz Kafka Avenue.  This becomes Kawana Terrace.  Follow signs to the park and parking.
*Wear comfortable shoes if you’d like to hike in for more views.  $7 parking fee

Directions: From the town of Bodega, continue on Bodega Ave.  At the Stop sign past town, turn right onto CA-1 / Bay Hwy / Shoreline Hwy.  After approx 3 miles, turn left onto Doran Park Road. Beach parking will be on the left.
$7 parking fee

Holiday festivities, tinsel, lights, shops, and historic architecture dressed up for the holidays
Directions: From North 101, exit Central Healdsburg (name of exit).  Slight left onto Healdsburg Avenue.  Park around the square.



Monday, December 16
VALLEY FORD
Noon-3:30 PM, Group viewing at the market/coffee shop at 3pm
Early 1800s California architecture, vistas of pastures and rolling hills, rustic holiday décor.
Directions from 101: Take Hwy 12 West into and through Sebastopol.  Continue onto Bodega Avenue.  Go 6.9 miles.  Turn left onto Freestone Valley Ford Rd.  Take slight left onto CA-1 S/Valley Ford Road and drive short distance to the town of Valley Ford.

Directions: From 101, exit Farmer’s Lane/12 towards Sonoma.  Turn left onto Hwy 12/4th Street.  Proceed up 4th street.  Turn right onto Bryden Lane (a light).  Bryden Ln becomes Pacific Avenue.  Turn right onto Franklin Avenue and follow signs for Santa Rosa Rural Cemetery.

Carroline Orrick’s PRIVATE HOME, STINSON BEACH
190 Seadrift in the Seadrift Community north of Stinson Beach
9-12:30 PM, Group viewing TBD at 12:15 PM – Feel free to stay longer painting.
Private home on the water.  Stunning opportunity to paint fall water.  Private dock location as well.  Views of lagoon and Bolinas Cliffs.
Directions to from Carroline:

at the north end of Stinson Beach town is Calle del Arroyo: 
    coming form the north: it is the very first street on your right after the lagoon and just as you enter the town
    coming from the south: it is the very last street on your left as you leave town and just before  you reach the lagoon

follow Calle del Arroyo to the very end, where you will see a gate. This is the entrance to Seadrift community. I will tell security that you all will be coming. Once through the gate, go to the LEFT and drive till you reach 190. There is a big bush that blocks the view of our driveway (on the left), so slow down as you approach. The houses all have very clear numbers on them (except ours, of course!). Park in the driveway and along the road in front of our house and 192  and across from 192. It's probably fine to park in front of other houses if it doesn't look like it is their only place to park!

Higher views of the Valley facing west, shadowy lanes, mature oaks and fall colors in vineyard.
Directions: From 101N, take the Dry Creek Rd exit and turn left onto Dry Creek Rd.  Turn right into Timber Crest Farms after about 4 miles.

Beautiful views across the bay, old shacks, boats, hills in the distance, bay views.
Directions From Santa Rosa: Take rte 12 through the town of Sebastopol, and continue straight to stay on Bodega Highway. At rte 1 turn right and go north on Shoreline drive Go past all the eateries of Bodega Bay, and turn left onto Eastside Rd. At the stop sign go straight.
Beautiful views across the bay, old shacks, boats, hills in the distance, bay views.

IMAGERY/ARROWOOD WINERIES

9-12:30 PM, Group Viewing in the Arrowood Winery parking lot
Modern architecture set against the Mayacamas as a backdrop, rolling vineyards (likely in early winter colors), verdant green gardens.  Lovely valley views.
Directions:  From 101, take 12 E towards Sonoma.  Drive through Sonoma Valley several miles and past the Arnold Drive light.  Turn left into their shared driveways.  Paint at both locations but return to the Group Viewing in the parking lot at Arrowood at 12:15.

Monday, October 7
HISTORIC SONOMA SQUARE
9-12:30 PM, Group Viewing in the amphitheatre adjacent to City Hall at 12:15PM
Corner of W. Napa Street and Broadway, Sonoma 95476
Take advantage of the last of Fall’s warmth and paint the historic Sonoma Mission, mature King Palms, City Square, and countless historic buildings.
Directions: From HWY 12 East to Sonoma, turn left onto Spain Street or Napa Street and park once you hit the Square.

Monday, October 14
Valley Ford
9-12:30 PM, Group Viewing TBD at 12:15
Victorian architecture, funky buildings, oak trees, marsh growth.
Directions: Use Dinucci’s Restaurant for orientation at 14485 Highway 1, Valley Ford.  From 101, exit Hwy 12/Sebastopol.  Continue onto Bodega Avenue.  Turn left onto Freestone Valley Ford Road.  Make a slight left after 2.6 miles onto CA-1S/Valley Ford Road.  Dinucci’s will be about half a mile ahead.

Paint centuries old California Oaks, 1900s Barn, 5,500 heritage heirloom garden roses, eucalyptus trees, Granary Ruins, and Farmhouses.  Mature vineyards and gardens as well set under the Mayacamas.
From Santa Rosa, head east on Hwy 12.  At Oakmont Drive (light), turn Right into Oakmont.  Flip a U-Turn when possible and come back to the light at Hwy 12 preparing to turn LEFT to go back up Hwy 12.  Once you turn onto Hwy 12, prepare to take an immediate RIGHT into that first Driveway.  There is no signage for the winery just a vineyard fence.  Gates will be open.  Drive slowly up the drive and park up on the 2nd gravel drive on the right hand side.  Be sure to park kindly so as not to impede vineyard, flower or winery traffic.

Salmon Creek Beach, on Hwy 1, north of Bodega Bay
9-12:30 PM, Group Viewing by Beach access path/stairs at 12:15
Paint some of the most beautiful stretches of uninterrupted California coasts.  Grand bluffs, sweeping views of the churning Pacific Ocean, and tidal wetlands.
Directions: From the town of Bodega Bay proceed north on Hwy towards Jenner and slow down once you leave all real signs of town.  On your left will be an entrance for campgrounds.  Keep going and shortly after, on your left, will be an entrance to the Salmon Creek Beach Parking Lot.  Park here but be sure to park nicely and close together so the surfers don’t get angry.

Monday, September 16
SPRING LAKE REGIONAL PARK
9-12:30 PM, Group Viewing at 2:15 pm by the main picnic grounds and restrooms
393 Violetti Road, Santa Rosa
Directions: From 101, exit CA-12 towards Sonoma.  Turn right onto Melita Road, Slight left onto Montgomery Drive.  Take 1st Left onto Channel Drive and then a quick 1st right onto Violetti Road.  Park will be on the right.  Pay at the booth and proceed down the hill (skipping the first parking lot) and park below at lake level, by the restrooms.
Tranquil lake scenes set beneath the distant Mayacamas, mature forests and nesting wildlife including migrating Geese.
Parking is $7 (credit cards accepted) and wear comfortable shoes in case you want to walk for a different scenic view.

PICHOLINE OLIVE GROVE at BR Cohn Winery
9:00 am – 12:30 PM, Group Viewing next to the Gourmet Deli Store
15000 Sonoma Hwy, Glen Ellen, CA
Directions: From Santa Rosa, take CA_12 towards Sonoma.  You will pass the towns of Kenwood and Glen Ellen.  The BR Cohn Winery will be on your right after you pass Imagery Winery (on your left).
We will be painting the Olive Trees and adjacent vineyards.  The Winery was once the historic Stagecoach Stop for Sonoma Valley.
* Should you wish to stay for a picnic, there is a lovely deli shop and winery tastings available.
