OCTOBER 2013


Monday, October 7
HISTORIC SONOMA SQUARE
9-12:30 PM, Group Viewing in the amphitheatre adjacent to City Hall at 12:15PM
Corner of W. Napa Street and Broadway, Sonoma 95476
Take advantage of the last of Fall’s warmth and paint the historic Sonoma Mission, mature King Palms, City Square, and countless historic buildings.
Directions: From HWY 12 East to Sonoma, turn left onto Spain Street or Napa Street and park once you hit the Square.

Monday, October 14
Valley Ford
9-12:30 PM, Group Viewing TBD at 12:15
Victorian architecture, funky buildings, oak trees, marsh growth.
Directions: Use Dinucci’s Restaurant for orientation at 14485 Highway 1, Valley Ford.  From 101, exit Hwy 12/Sebastopol.  Continue onto Bodega Avenue.  Turn left onto Freestone Valley Ford Road.  Make a slight left after 2.6 miles onto CA-1S/Valley Ford Road.  Dinucci’s will be about half a mile ahead.


Monday, October 21
Paint Out and ANNUAL POTLUCK LUNCH at ANNADEL ESTATE WINERY

9-12:30 PM, Group Viewing and Lunch begins at 12PM at the Bocce Courts

6687 Sonoma Hwy, Santa Rosa, CA 95409
Paint centuries old California Oaks, 1900s Barn, 5,500 heritage heirloom garden roses, eucalyptus trees, Granary Ruins, and Farmhouses.  Mature vineyards and gardens as well set under the Mayacamas.
From Santa Rosa, head east on Hwy 12.  At Oakmont Drive (light), turn Right into Oakmont.  Flip a U-Turn when possible and come back to the light at Hwy 12 preparing to turn LEFT to go back up Hwy 12.  Once you turn onto Hwy 12, prepare to take an immediate RIGHT into that first Driveway.  There is no signage for the winery just a vineyard fence.  Gates will be open.  Drive slowly up the drive and park up on the 2nd gravel drive on the right hand side.  Be sure to park kindly so as not to impede vineyard, flower or winery traffic.


Monday, October 28
Salmon Creek Beach, on Hwy 1, north of Bodega Bay
9-12:30 PM, Group Viewing by Beach access path/stairs at 12:15
Paint some of the most beautiful stretches of uninterrupted California coasts.  Grand bluffs, sweeping views of the churning Pacific Ocean, and tidal wetlands.
Directions: From the town of Bodega Bay proceed north on Hwy towards Jenner and slow down once you leave all real signs of town.  On your left will be an entrance for campgrounds.  Keep going and shortly after, on your left, will be an entrance to the Salmon Creek Beach Parking Lot.  Park here but be sure to park nicely and close together so the surfers don’t get angry.
